Welcome to the website of the Canadian Technical Association for Asphalt (CTAA). The only discussion forum in Canada dedicated to asphalt and its mixtures, products, manufacturing methods, and technologies. CTAA has over 500 scientists, engineers, technicians, academics, students, contractors, consultants, and suppliers involved in technology and information transfer related to the design, research, and performance of asphalt mixes. Members come from all Canadian provinces, the United States, and overseas.
Since its founding in 1955, an annual congress has been held. This congress takes place in major Canadian cities, alternating each year between an eastern and a western city. Typically, between 350 and 450 delegates attend the four-day technical congress. Approximately 25 papers are presented, covering all aspects of asphalt. The congress includes numerous social events, a superb banquet with entertainment, and a program designed for spouses. It is undoubtedly the most anticipated congress in Canada.
A list of publications presented at past CTAA conferences, sorted by author or subject, as well as a list of the most popular subjects and contributing authors, can be downloaded here.
