Why I Want to Serve on the CTAA Board: The asphalt industry is an important part of my life and I continue to find ways to give back when and wherever I can. Whether this is by sharing knowledge at presentations, participating on committees or mentoring new faces to the industry, engagement in the asphalt industry still brings excitement. Though participation in the CTAA is fairly new to me, I have monitored it from a distance. My support has come through others as I encouraged participation from team members while my attention needed to be elsewhere. It is only recently that I have not only had the opportunity to participate in CTAA events regularly, but also had the pleasure to represent Ontario on the board. This experience has allowed me to share my knowledge of the industry, build a tighter network beyond the local region and support strengthening the association as we continue forward into our 70th annual conference and beyond. I look forward to the opportunity to continue to support the board and the association in whatever way I can regardless of my position in the future.
