As in prior years, the Canadian Technical Asphalt Association is proud to offer three scholarships for students pursuing careers in Asphalt technology.
Information regarding our scholarships, eligibility, and application process can be found on our website (see link). In addition, this information was also sent to over 100 contacts at universities and colleges across the country in spring of this year.
Members are encouraged to forward this information to students they know or meet who are studying asphalt technology at the graduate, undergraduate or college level.
Information regarding our scholarships, eligibility and the application process can be viewed on our website.
As the education of young people today is our future tomorrow, this year we have decided to give students time to finish their school and prepare their application well and have moved the deadline until September 15th.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It’s official – we have kicked off 2024 with Women of Asphalt Canada, and we couldn’t be more excited!
The November 2023 CTAA conference introduction of WofA Canada and the panel discussion on the next generation workforce generated a lot of interest and buzz around our organization and what we can do for women, CTAA members, and the Canadian asphalt industry.
WofA strives to support and advance women in the asphalt industry. Our goals include:
AWARENESS - Increasing awareness of opportunities in the industry.
KNOWLEDGE - Elevating knowledge through education and resources.
COMMUNITY - Providing platforms to create supportive relationships and growth.
|
|
Our branch focus can be summed up in this simple statement: to help women and employers of women in our industry. Bringing new people on board and ensuring they are supported to stay, learn, and grow is a proven strategy for company success. By tapping into a broader range of skills, experiences, and perspectives, companies can gain a competitive advantage. WofA Canada will create space and opportunities for conversations and activities to foster understanding and appreciation of women in asphalt careers and how to help them thrive.
We are looking at activities such as:
- Virtual training session on recognizing and addressing unconscious bias in ourselves and in the workplace
- In-person breakfast event during the CTAA 2024 Edmonton conference
