The 66th annual conference, scheduled for Charlottetown this year was held online due to the COVID pandemic and was again a successful exchange of technical information.
The conference was held over 4 days, Nov 15-18, and attended by over 200 delegates. The technical content was presented online and questions were submitted during and immediately following the
presentation and answered live by the presenting author. The Q&A functionality of the conference app proved to be quite popular and almost all papers ran out of time to answer all the questions.

As last year, a virtual conference is not too conducive to an awards luncheon but we want to be sure to honor those award recipients
The newest inductee as an honorary member and the awards for technical papers were recognized via a short video available for viewing to everyone under the
‘Video Library’ in the members portal of the website.

Outgoing President Rielle Haichert (right) received her plaque of appreciation and President Pin from former President Ania Anthony after completing her term as President this past year.
The masks are a sign of the times and will forever be a symbol of the last two years. A huge thank-you to Rielle for her leadership over the past year.

Happy New Year everyone, I sure hope that this finds you safe, healthy, and happy. We are all coming off year full of uncertainty and challenges, hopefully, you had a great and enjoyable holiday
season.
This past year’s conference was the second online conference and hopefully the last that does not allow us to meet face-to-face. The 66th conference was well attended, and members did get a chance
to visit the virtual rooms, lots of engaging activities and even prizes were won, we intend to roll out more engagement opportunities come November 2022.

2022 General & Sustaining Members
|
|
Remember if you paid the non-member fee to attend the Conference online you had your membership for the remainder of the 2021 membership year (i.e. to December 31/21).
Notices for your 2022 General Membership annual dues have been e-mailed as of January 4th to all. Please take advantage of the early bird payment discount by using the code (Early Bird)
as described in the renewal email.
Members needing to pay by cheque are asked to ensure that a copy of the invoice number accompany all payments to ensure payment is applied to the correct member’s account. ALSO – please make sure
the Association’s new address in West Kelowna is used – as will be shown on the invoice or via the website.
Members whose fees are not paid will get further email reminders. If you have not paid by March 30th your membership will lapse and you will lose access to the member’s area. The Board approved
membership fees in November to stay at $200 with an incentive to pay early with the discount that effectively keeps the dues at the 2012 level! Please read your reminder email for details.

Please remember your personal (General) membership is separate from your companies Sustaining Membership.
Sustaining Member logos are available for Sustaining Member Companies to use, if you have not been provided the logo, contact
admin@ctaa.ca – these logos are intended to be used by Sustaining member companies to promote their support of the Association and Industry.
