Historically, we continue to send the newsletter to those whose membership has lapsed – partly because it encourages those same people to renew their membership.
One thing we find is that it is common for members to simply forget and think they have renewed.
Look at the caption for this newsletter email – it will indicate lapsed member in the caption if this applies to you!
Not sure?
Log in to the member portal – if you log
in you are active, if the system doesn’t let you in or directs you to a payment screen, you are not active. You should have seen 4 (four) renewal reminders sent by email from January through March (they stop once you have paid).
As we have reported before, dues not paid by March/April of the current year results in the membership being flagged as lapsed. Once payment is lapsed members will no longer have access to the
members’ portal or be eligible for member pricing, for example. If you did not see reminder emails your server may be blocking emails from the system, check with your IT department. As before, those members who have lapsed will not be included in the member
directory (online/app or proceedings).
Your continued support is important to fund the day-to-day operations that allow our web pages to provide access to past publications for members, to edit, publish and distribute the annual proceedings
and to help manage the annual conference functions. Thank-you for being a member!
